I am suffering from severe insomnia. In the night I hardly get sleeps for 2-3 hrs. My doctor suggested Shavasana however it works some nights but not others. Can you suggest some yoga cure for my problem.

    • Hello sudip,

I m not a doc. So beg your pardon. I just read your post, sometimes, I had the similar problem and even more than you described.

Just want to share, keep yourself positive, I know its hard to do, but when you got know about thinking positive you will be positive.

No need to go to doc or any consultant, if its not really severe.

But I would say n I would love to say keep calm n be positive u will feel positive. Even doc can’t help u if u r not positive.

      Thanks n best regards

    • Hi sagar,

You should practice anulom vilom pranayamam, bhastrika, pranav pranayama daily in the morning or evening on an empty stomach. You can practice anulom vilom pranayama before going to bed also. But keep in mind not immediately after lunch or dinner. Take some rest before doing it. This will reduce your stress depression and anxiety. When ever you get time you can practice it in good atmosphere or at home for 5 – 10 minutes. You will be alright in few days. Follow good diet and yoga regularly. Go for walking or jogging in the morning or evening. After 15 – 20 minutes you can practice pranayama. Just for precaution consult your doctor and have medical check up if necessary.
