Warm lemon juice

Lemon juice is the most recommended and popular home remedy to relieve constipation. Add half lemon juice in a warm glass of water and a pinch of salt. Drink this mixture on an empty stomach in the morning. It will clean your stomach easily. It is a great way to detox your body. You should go for a walk or jogging after drinking lemon juice. It will clean your intestine more easily. Try it daily.

Castor oil

Castor oil is the best remedy and has been used for centuries to relieve constipation. You can drink 1 tsp of caster oil alone before going to bed. It kills intestinal worms, regulates digestion, lubricates your bowels, and cures constipation. The adult can increase doses as per their requirement but children should take half tsp of it. Overdoses may result in adverse health effects. Remember it is a temporary solution to relieve constipation.

Triphala powder

Triphala consists of three fruits Amla, Haritaki, and Vibhitaki. It is a well-known home remedy to relieve constipation by regulating digestion and bowel movements. Mix one tsp of Triphala powder in 1 glass of warm water and drink it before going to bed or early in the morning on an empty stomach. You can increase the quantity as per your requirement. Guavas

Yogurt

Yogurt is one of the best home remedies which is available in each home. Yogurt contains pro-biotic bacteria which regulate digestion. Eat yogurt during breakfast which helps to relieve constipation. It protects from colon cancer, pylori, candida infection and stomach infections.

Oranges

Orange is full of vitamin C and a large amount of fiber which help to relieve constipation. Eating 2 oranges in the morning and in the evening improves the function of digestion and provides relief from constipation.

Tips to avoid Constipation

  1. Drink more warm water.
  2. Eat more green vegetables and fruits.
  3. Eat less at a time and eat 2 hours before going to bed.
  4. Avoid maida (white flour) and breads.
