Top Home Remedy for Migraine Headache

What is migraine

Paining in one side of the head is called migraine. Sometimes its pain on both sides of your head.

Symptoms when the headache starts

  1. Pain in one side of your head or on both the side
  2. Pain behind one of your eyes
  3. Nausea and vomiting
  4. Condition become worse in more light, noise and smell.
  5. Short-term weakness

Home Remedy for Migraine Headache

Drink more water

Drink more water to avoid migraine. Dehydration can be a big cause of headaches.

Vomiting

Drink warm water in the morning on an empty stomach and try to vomit water by inserting finger in your mouth for a few days. It will remove all your acidity and cough to ease migraine headache. Those suffering from high blood pressure, heart problem, ulcer and eye problem should not do this.

Peppermint oil

Smelling fresh peppermint oil help to control blood flow in the body. Headaches and migraine pain often occurs due to poor blood flow and oxygen. Peppermint oil is an effective home remedy for headache which promotes flow of oxygen and blood.

Apple cider vinegar

Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of honey in one glass of water. Drink the mixture daily. It will reduce migraines.

Lavender Oil

Smelling fresh lavender oil reduces migraine headache. It should not be taken orally. Mix few drops of lavender oil in boiling water and inhale vapors of it. It works best as a home remedy for migraine.

Drink caffeine

A cup of hot coffee is an effective home remedy for migraine which constricts blood vessels and decrease pain. It stimulate blood flow. You can add a few drops of lemon juice to increase the effectiveness. In some people more caffeine may cause headache and worsen your headache.

Cold (or hot) compress

Place cold or hot compresses on your head. Hot compress will relax tense muscles. Cold compress dulls the sensation of pain.

Massage and acupressure

Massaging head helps to ease migraine headache by blocking pain signals sent to the brain. It also stimulates proper blood flow. Keep a habit of pressing your tip of all fingers of hands.

Pranayama daily

Practicing  bhastrika pranayama daily cures migraine, headache & epilepsy completely. Yes it does not matter how old your migraine is. Yoga practice is the best treatment to cure migraine. Do it on a daily basis. After 15 days you will see no migraine no headache and epilepsy symptoms.

  1. Hormonal changes
  2. Medication
  3. Stress
  4. change of weather
  5. Low blood sugar
  6. Irregular meals
  7. Dehydration
  8. Excess of caffeine products

What to avoid

  1. Fasting
  2. Smoking or alcohol
  3. Curd
  4. Stress
  5. Walking in hot sunny day. Should use cap

Should consult your doctor to find the main cause of migraine. We recommend you to practice pranayama daily to become more healthy. If you practice pranayama daily then no need of any medication. Bhastrika, anulom vilom and kapalbhati are effective to cure migraine headache completely.
